The Har Ki Dun Valley Trek offers two distinct trekking seasons. During summer (April to June), the trail comes alive with lush greenery, blooming wildflowers, and pleasant weather, making it ideal for nature lovers. In autumn (September to December), the skies are exceptionally clear, offering stunning, uninterrupted views of the majestic Swargarohini Peaks. As winter approaches in December, the entire region transforms into a magical snow-covered landscape, creating a true Himalayan winter experience.
Consider this your ultimate digital detox! Sankri is the last point with limited and patchy network connectivity (mainly Jio or BSNL). Once you begin the trek, there is little to no mobile network available. We recommend completing all important calls and informing your family and friends before leaving Sankri, so you can fully disconnect and immerse yourself in the Himalayan experience.
Both treks start from Sankri but offer different experiences. Kedarkantha Trek is summit-focused, while Har Ki Dun Valley is a scenic and cultural valley trek.
For forests, ancient villages, and glacial views, Har Ki Dun is the better summer choice.
