Bhimashankar Trek - Itinerary

Day 1

  • 10:00 Pm – SGNP, Borivali.
  • 10:30 Pm – Andheri.
  • 10:45 Pm – Kalanagar bus stop, Bandra.
  • 11:00 Pm – Sion Circle.
  • 11:15 Pm – Diamond Garden, Chembur
  • 11:45 Pm – Vashi

Day 2

  • 03:30 Am – Reach the base village, freshen up and fill in your tummies with some morning breakfast.
  • 5:30 Am – With a short introduction and briefing round we start our trek.
  • 6:00 Am – Start Trek via Shidi Ghat/Ganesh Ghat. 
  • 10:00 Am – As we reach the top, explore the place and click pictures to take back home.
  • 11:00 Am – After a group picture we start return journey to base via Ganesh Ghat.
  • 03:30 Pm – Freshen up on reaching the base village and settle down for some local Maharashtrian lunch.
  • 05:00 Pm – Settle in our transfer vehicle to start our return journey.
  • 08:00 Pm – Time to say GOODBYES but with a promise to meet again.

What is the difficulty level of Bhimashankar trek?

Bhimashankar hike is having moderate to difficult level endurance depends on the trekking route you choose. We used to trek via moderate difficulty route so that less experienced trekkers also witness the Bhimashankar beauty. 

How long it will take to reach the top?

It is going to be a 3.5 to 4 hour long journey to reach the top. we will be taking required breaks in between to make the journey smooth.

How to reach the Bhimasankar Trek base village?

travelers from Mumbai or Pune can take a train to karjat railway station. You will get bus or private vehicles from karjat to the base village khandas. it si around 34 km from Karjat to the base village.

From khandas village there is two trekking routes to Bhimasankar, Shidi Ghat and Ganesh Ghat. 

 

 

What is the detailed itinerary of Bhimasankar trek?

The trek to Bhimasankar starts from from SGNP Borivali where you can meet the Liveb4youdie team. We are expecting to start from this location by 10 pm in an private vehicle. We do have other pick up points on the way as mentioned below 

  • 10:30 Pm – Andheri.
  • 10:45 Pm – Kalanagar bus stop, Bandra.
  • 11:00 Pm – Sion Circle.
  • 11:15 Pm – Diamond Garden, Chembur
  • 11:45 Pm – Vashi

 

We will be reaching the base village next day morning around 3.30 am. let us freshen up and have some healthy morning breakfast, By 5.30 am your trek guide will give you a brief introduction and other rules about trekking. By 6 am we will start our trek through Shidi Ghat/Ganesh Ghat. 

 

We will reach the top after .5 to 4 hour long journey around 10 am. let us explore the beauty that Bhimasankar has to show you. Take some pics and feel the nature.  by 11 am we will start moving bac to the base village via Ganesh ghat, Around 3. 30 am we will reach base village back. let us freshen up and have some Maharashtrian food for lunch.  5 pm we will settles down on our private vehicle for the journey back to Mumbai with lot of memories and new friends. by 8pm we will reach Mumbai and the time to say good byes.

is kids are allowed in the trek?

Yes kids under the age of 15 are allowed strictly under the guidance of their parents or guardian only.

You will be getting morning break fast and tea before we start our trek from base village which is much important to finish the trek. You will also get local home-made Maharashtrian food for lunch once reach the base village back after the trek. 

How fast is Bhimashankar from Mumbai or Pune?

Bhimashankar base village is around 215 km from Mumbai and 110 km from Pune. Both the cities are well connected via trains to reach the Karjat. From Karjat the base village is around 34 km which you can reach via bus or private taxi.
