This trek starts from the village of Kizgaon, which is about 40 kilometers from Kolhapur. The trek begins alongside the river to reach a cluster of houses. From here, we need to cross a small stream and climb a series of steps. After this climb, we get to our first viewpoint – Kaldurg Fort. This fort can be seen in the distance, with its walls standing majestically at an elevation of more than 1,000 feet above sea level. There are some temple ruins located onsite which make for an interesting visit as well. From here, we have a stunning view of the surrounding terrain – mountains, hills, and forests can all be seen in their glory.

Kaldurg Fort can be reached via air, road or train. 

by air, palghar is around 2 hour journey from Chhatrapati Shivaji Airport Mumbai.

by train, Palghar railway is connected from all major cities of Maharashtra.

Kaldurg fort is around 100 km from Mumbai and 278 km from Pune. The routes are properly connected via roads and trains. 

Kaldurg Fort trek starts from Pritam Hotel Near Flyover Dadar East by 5 am where you can meet Liveb4youdie team. we will start our journey in a private vehicle and following pick up points are alaos avaialble

• 05: 20 Am: Sion Circle Near Fly over.
• 06:00 Am: Bandra Kalanagar bus stop (on highway)
• 06:15 Am: Andheri (East) Bisleri Factory
• 06:30 Am: Borivali opposite to Nation Park Omkareshwar Temple.
• 07:00 Am: Virar.

We are expected to reach the base village by 8 am and those who are reaching base village directly can come and gather outside Waghoba temple where our trek guide will be available to assist you. By 8.30 am we will freshen up and have some healthy breakfast. By 9 am we will start our journey towards the Kaldurg fort. it is going to be a 3 hour hike and expected to reach the top by 12 pm. explore the location, feel the nature and take some snaps. 

by 1.30 pm we will start our journey back to the base village. by 2.30 pm we will reach the base village and have some local Maharashtrian lunch.  At 4 pm we will settle down at private vehicle and start our journey back to Mumbai. 

Kaldurg fort trek is a hill type fort trek situated at Palghar district of Maharashtra. Fort is having an elevation of 1558 feet from sea level. Kaldurg fort is known for its beauty and views. The top view is a rectangular shape.

Monsoon is the best time (July to August) to visit Kaldurg fort. Panoramic view of several mountains, soothing greenery and blissful environment while trek makes it preferred among trekkers. There are several forest trees at the top of kaldurg. Kaldurg fort trek is having medium difficulty with 2 – 3 hour journey to reach the trek. It will take overall 10-12 hour to complete the one day trek to Kaldurg.  These can be completed by first-timers also.
