Ratangad Fort considered 400 years old is situated at Ratanwadi Village, Ahmadnagar district of Maharashtra. Ratangad Is also known as Jewel of Sahyadri which covers the peak of Bhanadardara Dam. Ratangad Fort is sitauated at an elevation of 4255 feet from the sea level surrounded by the absolute beauty of many mountains and nature. Katarabai, Ajoba, Kulang, Alang, Kalsubai, and Ghanchakkar are the major mountains surrounding the Ratangad Fort giving it an memorable view from the top. There is an 1000 year old ancient temple of Lord Siva( The Amruteshwar Temple) at the bottom of Ratangad. Amruteshwar Temple is an excellent example of our ancient architecture and stone carving methodologies.
In monsoon Ratangad is completly filled with greenery. The dense forest covered with fog, 360 degree view of surrounding mountains from top, flower view points are some of the major attractions in Ratangad trek. 05:30 Am – Reach the base village and enjoy the 1st view of the fort.
06:00 Am – Freshen up, fill in your tummies and get ready to start the trek.
06:30 Am – Short briefing and introduction round.
07:00Am – Tie your shoe laces and let’s start the trek.
10:30 Am – We reach the top, Explore and click a few memories to take back home.
11:30 Am – After a group picture we start our descend back to the base village.
02:30 Pm – Freshen up and settle down for the local maharashtrian lunch.
04:00 Pm – Get back into our private transfer vehicle as we start journey to Mumbai.
09:30 Pm – Time to say GOODBYE, but with a promise to meet again
You can choose monsoon season or winter season to do Rathangad trek. Atmosphere is more pleasant during these time and suitable for overnight stay.

The day 1 starts from SGNP Borivali around by 10 PM where you can meet Liveb4youdie trekking team. By 10.15 PM settle down at the private vehicle and start our trip towards the base village of Ratangad monsoon trek. We do have following pick up points from where also you can join.
We will be reaching the base village next day morning around 5.30 am. Let us freshen up, have some quick breakfast and enjoy the starting view of Ratangad fort or Peth fort. By 6.30 you will have a short introduction about the trek and other regulations. We will begin our hike to the fort by 7 am. it is going to be a long train where we will take adequate breaks in between.
we are expected to reach the top by 10.30 am. Explore the Ratangad fort and its surroundings. Monsoon makes this place covered with lush green nature gives you absolute serene view. Lets us take some snaps.
By 11.30 am we will move back to the base village. we are expecting to reach the base village by 2.30 and have some local Maharashtrian food for lunch. By 4 pm we will start our journey back to Mumbai in our private vehicle and reach Mumbai by 9,30 pm. Time to say good byes.
