Trip Overview
The Kedarkantha Trek is one of the most popular winter treks in Uttarakhand, known for its snow-covered trails, dense pine forests, peaceful campsites, and stunning Himalayan views. Rising to around 12,500 ft, the trek offers an exciting summit experience surrounded by breathtaking mountain landscapes.
The journey begins from Sankri, taking you through beautiful forest trails and scenic mountain terrain. One of the highlights is Juda Ka Talab, a picturesque frozen lake surrounded by snow-covered trees. As you climb higher, the landscape transforms into a spectacular winter wonderland.
The final summit climb is challenging yet rewarding, with panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges from the top. Evenings at the campsites bring a special mountain experience with bonfires, stargazing, and memorable moments with fellow trekkers.

Trip Itinerary
DAY 1Drive From Dehradun To Sankri Base Village
Distance: 198 km
Duration: 8 hrs
Accommodation: Homestay
• The group will assemble at the pickup point at 06:00 AM.
• We'll drive towards Sankri village which is the base camp for the Kedarkantha Trek.
• Upon reaching Sankri, we'll check in to our designated homestay. The rest of the day is at leisure and travelers are advised to rest.
• In the evening, Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Sankri Village.
Note:
- Pickup Point- Prince Chowk (Near Dehradun Railway Station).
- Timing- 6:30 am (Tentative).
- Dehradun to Sankri transportation is included for trekkers opting for Dehradun to Dehradun package.
DAY 2Trek from Sankri to Juda Ka Taal
Distance: 4 km
Duration: 4 hrs
Accommodation: Campsite
• After early morning breakfast, a small briefing session would be conducted by the trek leader where all the necessary details about the rest of the day will be shared.
• We will start our trekking journey. En route to our campsite, we'd be traversing through lush green forests consisting of pine trees with the Swargrohini Massif in the backdrop beckoning you closer.
• We will reach Juda Ka Taal after four hours of trekking. Upon reaching our campsite, we will have lunch.
• The rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner will be served in the evening followed by an overnight stay at Juda Ka Taal Campsite.
DAY 3Juda Ka Taal To Kedarkantha Base Camp

Duration: 3 hrs
Accommodation: Campsite
• The day will start with morning tea followed by breakfast.
• The Trek Leader will give you a briefing about the day before we proceed.
• Afterward, we'll start the trek towards the Kedarkantha Base Camp, which takes about 3-4 hours.
• Upon reaching and checking into the campsite, we'll have a warm lunch.
• The rest of the day is at leisure and we'll relax by indulging in activities like snowball fights and other fun games.
• Lastly, we'll have dinner at the campsite followed by an overnight stay at Kedarkantha Base Camp.
DAY 4Trek To Kedarkantha Peak | Back To Juda ka Taal
Distance: 9 km
Duration: 8 hrs
Accommodation: Campsite
• We will finally begin our trek towards Kedarkantha Peak.
• We'll get up at 02:00 AM as we'll need an early start.
• Afterwards, the group will trek up to the Kedarkantha Summit.
• After reaching the summit, we'll enjoy the view from the top and witness the beautiful sunrise from the summit.
• Shortly afterward, we'll head back to the Kedarkantha Base Camp once again.
• Upon reaching, Lunch will be served at the campsite.
• It's the last night at the campsite so we will have a farewell bash.
• Overnight stay at Juda ka Taal campsite.
Additionally, you get a 360-degree view of the whole Himalayan Region from the Kedarkantha Top. Some of the peaks are Gangotri, Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Kinner Kailash, etc.
DAY 5Juda ka Taal To Sankri | Back To Dehradun

Trek Distance: 4 km | 4hrs
Drive Duration: 8 hrs
• After an early morning breakfast, we'll head down towards the Sankri Village from Juda ka Taal.
• Upon reaching Sankri, we'll stop and freshen up at our designated hotel, and lunch will be provided.
• Shortly afterward, we'll proceed towards Dehradun. (Reach Dehradun by late evening.)
• The group will disassemble here and be on their separate ways with a heart full of contentment and a mind full of memories.
Note:
Drop-off Time: 10 PM at Prince Chowk (Near Dehradun Railway Station)
Sankri to Dehradun transportation is included for trekkers opting for Dehradun to Dehradun package
It is recommended to book your return bus after 11.00 PM.
Inclusions & Exclusions
- Accommodation: 1 Night in a Hotel / Homestay on a triple/quad sharing basis (with attached washroom and Geyser facility) and 3 Nights accommodation in a tent on a triple-sharing basis.
- Transportation: Surface transfer from Dehradun - Sankri - Dehradun by Sumo / Bolero / Tempo Traveler - Non A/c (Depends on the number of travelers). Note: If you choose the Sankri to Sankri package, transportation between Dehradun to Sankri and Return will not be included.
- Meals: All Veg meals from Dinner on Day 1st to Lunch on Day 5th. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner from Day 2 to Day 4. We provide simple nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek
- Snacks: Morning / Evening Tea / Coffee with light snacks and soup while on the trek.
- Camping logistics: Trekking tent, Sleeping bags, Mattresses, Dining tent, Kitchen tent and Toilet tent.
- Trek Leader Qualified and Experienced Trek leader and support staff.
- Permits: All necessary fees and permits.(For Indians)
- Trekking Equipment: Gaiters, Micro Spikes, and Rope if required.
- Safety Equipment: Walkie / Talkie , Basic First Aid kit with Oximeter, Blood Pressure Monitor and Oxygen Cylinder.
- Guide ratio: Local experience guide (depends on the group size).
- Others : Cloak Room facility available at base camp for extra luggage.
- Any expenses of personal nature.
- Meals during transit.
- Insurance of any kind.
- Unscheduled delay due to landslide.
- Cost Escalation due to “ Force Majeure and Evacuation charges”.
- Anything not mentioned explicitly in the above program.
- You can apply for travel insurance prior to the trek. Note :- Bag offloading cost is Rs 1400 (maximum weight should not be more than 10 kg).

Important: Pack light and carry only the essentials. Since Kedarkantha involves cold and snowy conditions, proper winter clothing and sturdy trekking shoes are especially important.

Pay the booking amount that is 50% of the total trip cost to secure your seat.
- 20 to 15 Days Before Departure:
Pay the booking amount that is 75% of the total trip cost.
- 14 Days Before Departure:
100% payment (full trip cost) is compulsory to confirm your participation.
CancellationCancelling or changing your booking
30 Days or More Before Departure:
- You can cancel or shift to another batch.
- The booking amount will be given as a credit note, after deducting the basic booking fee.
29 to 21 Days Before Departure:
- ❗ Batch shifting is not allowed.
- 25% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- The booking amount will be adjusted, and the balance (if any) will be refunded.
20 to 15 Days Before Departure:
- ❗ Batch shifting is not allowed.
- 50% of the total trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- The remaining amount (if any) will be refunded after deduction.
14 Days Before Departure:
- ❗ Batch shifting is not allowed.
- No refund will be provided.
